Pre-orders are currently open for CRKD's new hardware, with the expected ship date to be around September 18, 2023. The base price of the Nitro Deck is $60, with the Nostalgia and Limited Run variants of this Nintendo Switch accessory running up to $90. The Nitro Deck also comes in a variety of skin colors, with some based on older Nintendo consoles like the SNES and GameCube, and another two unique skins featured that are a collaboration with Limited Run Games. There also appears to be two USB-C ports on the back of the dock, which allow for easy charging along with its own display stand. It also features a set of trigger buttons on its backside, likely best used for FPS games that require such a features. The trailer also notes that gamers can switch the tops of the joysticks, allowing for different textures or pads. It claims that there will be "Zero" stick drift, with the deck allowing for responsive and precise inputs with its control sticks. This deck has been designed to be gripped comfortably, with a low latency USB-C connection that allows for speedier reactions. For the unaware, this phenomenon causes a controller to detect inputs where there isn't any, which can be frustrating since it can cause players to make more mistakes than if it wasn't drifting. The Switch has been rather infamous for the amount of stick drift that frequently occurs with its Joy-con controllers. This new accessory claims that it will help solve an infamous issue with the console: stick drifting. There have been plenty of accessories that have been created for Nintendo's popular hybrid console, though many of them are side grades that allow gamers to use the Joy-con controllers differently, or help improve the Switch based off the existing functions. This accessory is known as the Nitro Deck and has been created to work with both the vanilla Switch and the OLED Switch models.
